We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the Development Data Partnership (DDP).
This agreement provides UNDP with enhanced access to JBA’s Global Flood Maps, helping to strengthen risk-informed planning across its programmes and projects worldwide.
UNDP operates in more than 170 countries and territories, working with governments and communities to reduce poverty, strengthen governance and address climate and disaster risks. Its work spans crisis response, early recovery and long-term resilience building. Access to consistent and reliable hazard information plays a critical role in supporting decision-making across all these areas.
JBA’s Global Flood Maps provide a consistent global view of flood hazard. The maps cover river, surface water and coastal flooding at 30 metre resolution. They support exposure analysis and planning, particularly in locations where local flood information is limited or unavailable.
“We are delighted to support UNDP as part of JBA’s commitment to improving flood resilience in climate-vulnerable communities across the world. We look forward to working together as this partnership develops.”
Alex Minett, Technical Director, JBA.
UNDP joins a growing community of international organisations using JBA’s Global Flood Maps via the DDP to support risk-informed decision making and resilience planning worldwide.
