Working in collaboration with Landell Mills and local partners from Myanmar’s Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, we delivered three dam safety studies. We also explored multi-criteria optimisation of dam operation to reduce flood hazard while supporting economic development through irrigated agriculture and electricity generation.
Working on behalf of the Asian Development Bank, this project developed robust, transferable approaches to understanding typhoon driven coastal flood risk in the Philippines, providing new evidence to inform flood risk management, planning and long-term coastal resilience.
Working on behalf of the World Bank, we developed a framework for valuing the ecosystem services of mangroves, wetlands and coastal forests in Vietnam. The project strengthens the economic and policy case for nature-based solutions, supporting their integration into national planning and more resilient coastal development.
